The Rock is DEAD!

The Rock is Dead! Dwayne Johnson says. In the cover of the Men’s Journal Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” appears with a lavish slick Hollywood style. Dwayne would like to see his image of the “Rock” disappear and a more personal image of today’s Hollywood’s upcoming Star Dwayne Johnson.

In the interview he went ahead and spoke about his rough road to success including his impassionate relationship with his father. He mentioned that as a child he would constantly get arrested for fighting or stealing clothing.  Dwayne had a poor life living with his mother. As a child he spoke about not having a thanksgiving dinner at home but rather having to hitch a friend’s party in order to eat.  He mentioned that while sitting at the dinner table his friend’s family not knowing their situation asked his mother to say grace, she broke down and cried on the dinner table.

 

Dwayne was in fact a teenager heading towards failure until his high school coach came into his life. He talks about having hit a kid so hard on the locker that blood gushed everywhere and had to be ambulanced to a nearby hospital. Dwayne met his football coach by arguing with him shortly after his coach invited him to the field. Dwayne speaks highly of his football coach in having helped him through a troubled teenage life and also helping him apply to colleges, shortly after he signed with the University of Miami where he would then end up playing for the Canadian league.

 

After being released from the Canadian League Football he needed to try something new in order to support his family, so he went into the family business “wrestling” were he would follow his father’s footsteps. We all know Dwayne as “The Rock” but we don’t know Dwayne Johnson the movie star.

Now becoming a household name and securing a 10 million dollar leading role pay structure Dwayne has come from being locked up to a Hollywood star. Dwayne was asked why he is so hungry for success, he noted his head and said “once you know hunger, you never want to be hungry again” Read the original Interview in Men’s Journal Magazine
